The Cleveland Orchestra has reported a budget surplus for the second year in a row, crediting “higher attendance, endowment growth, and record-setting levels of philanthropy,” according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
While the organization’s $72,000 surplus this year is not as significant as its $941,000 surplus in 2013-14, it separates Cleveland from many orchestras dealing with budget cuts and drops in attendance.
